1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to KVN, a local-first task, goal, habit, budgeting, personal finance, and journal application published by KrimsonVin, and to the public website at kvn-laifu.app.

2. Current data practices

KVN does not currently collect or share personal data from the app. “Collect” means transmitting data away from your device to KVN or another company. KVN’s core records are processed and stored locally on your device or in your browser profile.

Local records may include tasks, goals, habits, journal entries, budgets, accounts, transactions, obligations, attachments, photos, preferences, and other information you choose to enter. KVN does not currently upload these records to an application server.

3. Device permissions

KVN may request device permissions only when needed for a feature you choose to use:

  • Camera: to scan KVN QR codes or capture an image you choose to attach.
  • Photos and files: to select attachments, import a backup, export a backup, or save an image.
  • Notifications: to deliver reminders, timers, and alerts you configure.
  • Biometric or device authentication: to unlock KVN or protected features. KVN receives only the success or failure result supplied by the operating system and does not receive or store your fingerprint, face template, or device credential.

Information accessed through these permissions is processed locally unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

4. Sharing, imports, and exports

KVN lets you create backups, export information, save images, and exchange selected records through QR codes. These actions occur only when you initiate them. You are responsible for choosing the recipient, storage destination, and any external service used after information leaves KVN.

If you ask KVN to download an image from a direct HTTPS URL, your device connects to the host you selected. That host may receive standard request information such as your IP address. KVN stores the resulting supported image locally.

KVN does not operate a public content feed or make QR-shared information publicly searchable.

5. Advertising and analytics

The current version of KVN does not display advertising and does not use an advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK to transmit app data. KVN will update this policy and the relevant store disclosures before activating Google AdMob, Google AdSense, analytics, or another service that changes these practices.

6. Public website hosting

The public KVN website is delivered using Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process standard request information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, and security signals to deliver, protect, and operate the website. KVN does not place advertising or analytics scripts on this privacy-policy page.

Cloudflare’s handling of information is governed by its own privacy commitments. You can read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

7. Retention and deletion

Because core KVN records are stored locally, they remain until you delete them, clear the app or browser storage, restore or replace a backup, or uninstall the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling KVN may permanently erase records that have not been backed up.

8. Security

KVN uses the platform’s application sandbox and offers optional device authentication and internal credentials for additional local protection. No method of storage is completely secure, so you should protect your device and keep backups of information you cannot replace.

9. Children’s privacy

KVN is intended for adults and is not directed to children. KVN does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

KVN’s software-development process requires a privacy review before introducing advertising, analytics, online accounts, cloud storage, synchronization, remote diagnostics, or another feature that sends user data off the device. When practices change, this page and its “Last updated” date will be revised before the relevant feature is released.
